Surrender process

An application to surrender form needs to be completed. Once completed it can be brought to the shelter or e-mailed to  372023@outlook.com.   Proof of ownership must be included with the application either a Vet Bill or City license with your name on it. 

Once your application is reviewed you will be contacted to arrange an appointment. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept all surrenders as we have  limited space.

Please do not come to the shelter with your pet anticipating an immediate surrender.  

An appointment time and date will be arranged to allow us time to prepare a sterilized kennel for your pet. You may bring your pets favorite toys, blankets, beds – dishes. Any item that will bring familiarity and comfort to your pet is welcomed. These items will stay with your pet once they find their new furever home. At this time the Surrender fee will be payable.

Once your pet has been surrendered, they become our property.  We can assure you your pet will receive compassionate care and will see a Vet. 

We are unable to provide any updates with respect to adoption.  We can notify you if they have been adopted, but can provide no details regarding their new home including their location, the family situation etc.
